This revised image shows London in 2004. As you can see the Swiss RE building which is currently under construction is complete and 110 Bishopsgate is also finished. In Canary Wharf two more towers are visible from this angle, a planned tower at North Quay which this rendering shows at about 800ft in height, and Heron Quays 2 which is just visible on the right of Canary Wharf and is currently under construction.
As you can see there is very little encroachment of St Pauls Cathedral from this angle, something that the Heron Inquiry saw insisted by English Heritage, infact if you move further to the left of the view 110 Bishopsgate is completely obstructed whilst the view from the Southbank puts a LOT more space between the cathedral and the Heron Tower.
The changes in the skyline between when this was taken and this montage are from left to right...

  • Drapers Gardens has been demolished, the dome of St Pauls is now framed by sky.
  • 110 Bishopsgate stands right to the left of Tower42.
  • Swiss RE building is complete.
  • The proposed Minerva stands three blocks back and to the viewers right.
  • North Quay at Canary Wharf now has a tower of slightly under 750ft tall.
  • Heron Quays 2 is visible from this position.

The 2005 version will see the approved Lloyds building at Lime Street rise to the side of the existing Lloyds building, also London Bridge Tower will be partially visible and Riverside South Tower One will partially obscure Heron Quays 2.
